Do you ever feel like you’re stuck in a rut? Do you sometimes feel like you’re chasing your tail?
Try these three simple strategies to get things moving in the right direction:
1. Consider: Do people’s opinions really matter? If you’re marketing an ironing service, a flower shop or a baby chair, why are you concerned with what everyone thinks about it? It seems to me that you should only really care about the opinion of those that are actually open to buying one. If they are open to buying one, they will examine it critically. If not, they will gossip about you or it. Shun the gossipers and find the critical thinkers.
2. What’s stopping you from moving forward? Consider these three things to make progress (from Seth Godin):
Don’t demand authority.
Eagerly take responsibility.
Relentlessly give credit.
3. When was the last time you had a little “me” time? (Mine was yesterday with two girlfriends at a Spa). Get your diary out now, and schedule in some “me” time for either this weekend or the coming week.
Enjoy your weekend!
